SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME CELEBRATES TORONTO MUSIC

Six iconic Canadian songs are headed for induction as the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame features The Toronto Sound of the 60s, 70s and 80s including the inspirational pop classic “Rise UP” from 1983.
The Parachute Club hit joins “Let Your Backbone Slide” by Maestro Fresh Wes, “Opportunity” from Mandala, “I Would Be the One, by Kensington Market, “Make Me Do Anything You Want” by A Foot in Cold Water and “Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft” by Klaatu.
The Songwriters Hall of Fame will hold an evening of performances to celebrate the songs on November 21st. The event is dubbed “Decades: The Toronto Sound of the 60s, 70s & 80s and will feature a number of the artists performing their hits.
