With the new Downton Abbey movie about to hit theatres in Canada Thursday, interest is growing in the real-life castle where the period film and TV series that aired on our sister station Vision TV were shot.
And now comes word that Highclere Castle will be bookable on Airbnb for the night of November 26th.
It has more than 300 rooms and 100,000 square feet to explore.
Of particular interest to Canadians; Highclere Castle is where Sir John A. Macdonald stayed while in England helping shape the British North America Act, which gave birth to Canada in 1867.
The price is $159 for the night.
The booking will go live, October 1st, at 7 a.m.
