Seems it’s not a case of ”either or” but rather ”both, and”.
A new Angus Reid Institute survey finds seven-in-ten Canadians (695) says climate change should be a top priority for the winner of the October election.
In addition, six-in-ten (58%) feel natural resource development should be a priority alongside climate action.
While 86% of leading and decided Conservative voters oppose the federal carbon tax, the centre-left parties support it by a wide margin.
At least 71% of Green, NDP and Liberal voters support the carbon pricing scheme.
Three-quarters of Canadians (76%) say the federal government, regardless which party wins the October 21 vote, should follow through with the plan to ban single-use plastics by 2021.
