The Oscar-winning filmmaker behind such blockbusters as “Platoon,” “Born on the Fourth of July,” and “JFK” is writing a book.
Publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has announced it has acquired Oliver Stone’s memoir which is currently untitled and scheduled to be released in the fall of next year.
The publisher says the book will cover Stone’s early years, his time in Vietnam and winning an Academy Award before the age of 35.
In a statement, the 72 year old says he’s been reassessing his life and decided that all memories are to be cherished, pleasant or not.
