83 more Canadians have been named to the Order of Canada, just in advance of the celebration of the country’s 152nd birthday.
Among those being recognized are one-time Montreal Expo Claude Raymond, former official-languages commissioner Graham Fraser, Moya Green, a former CEO at Canada Post along with chef Michael Smith, former commissioner of Nunavut Edna Elias and National Hockey League player Reggie Leach, who said he is still in shock that he has been chosen.
Almost 7,000 Canadians have had their names added to the honour roll since it was created in 1967.
A ceremony for the inductees will be held later
