Canadian music legend Bryan Adams is among those who are just now learning the extent of a 2008 fire at Universal Studios in Hollywood. The damage was never fully revealed until the New York times reported on it recently.
Adams says the masters of many of his biggest hits were likely destroyed.
The 59-year old singer songwriter is among hundreds of artists whose original master recordings, artwork and photography is believed to have perished in the massive fire. The list also includes Canadian artists Joni Mitchell and Nelly Furtado.
Adams, who is also a Zoomer Magazine Photogragher, says some of his original work is safe because it was stored in a vault in Vancouver, but says he’s uncertain if master copies for eight of his studio albums still exist.
