He may have captured the White House twice and she almost once, but a Broadway depiction of former U.S President Bill Clinton and former First Lady Hillary hasn’t captured the imagination of theatre goers.  As a result, it will end its run early.

“Hilary and Clinton” stars veteran actors John Lithgow and Laurie Metcalf

The production was scheduled to close July 21st but the producer has announced the final performance will be held this coming Sunday, June 23rd.

The show is set in 2008 and offers a fictional behind-the-scenes look at Hillary’s first presidential campaign.  It cost $4.2 million to produce.  The Hollywood Reporter says it earned just $4.7 million at the box office.
