Industry leaders are set to take part in a summit Monday to tackle the most severe challenges facing Toronto.
The event is put on by the civic engagement organization called CivicAction with a goal to generate ideas and solutions.
For this year, members of the organization identified five key areas facing Toronto; housing affordability, sex trafficking, the future of work, extreme weather and inclusivity.
The 550 people who will be in attendance are made up of professionals from organizations with first hand knowledge of these challenges, including leaders from labour, government, business and faith groups.
The summit was introduced in 2015 with the idea it would be hosted every four years, the same duration between elections.
It’s being held at the Art Gallery of Ontario.
