Investigators believe an electrical short-circuit mostly likely caused the fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
So says a French police official who says at this time, investigators believe the blaze was accidental and have questioned about 40 cathedral staff and workers, who were carrying out renovations.
Investigators still have not been able to go inside to search through the rubble because it’s not considered safe.
Meanwhile, President Emmanuel Macron has thanked the hundreds of firefighters who helped save the iconic 12th century church.
They will receive an Honor Medal for their courage and devotion.
Also, proceeds from a new classical album will be donated to the heritage foundation in France to help support restoration.
Entitled simply ”Notre-Dame,” it’s a collection of sacred music, much of it tracks recorded at the cathedral.
