Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets of London, England on Saturday to voice their opposition to Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union.
Their demand – a new referendum on Brexit.
The March came in the wake of an deadline extension granted to Prime Minister Theresa May by the EU.
The leaders have agreed to delay Brexit from March 29 until May 22 if the British leader succeeds in getting UK lawmakers to pass her Brexit plan. If she does not succeed in getting the deal past parliament, Britain will crash out of the EU with no deal on April 12th.
A petition to cancel Brexit garnered over four million signatures in just three days after May told the public “I am on your side” over Brexit and urged lawmakers to get behind her deal.
