City of Toronto crews are getting ready for their third pothole repair blitz of the year, starting overnight.
Crews repaired 18,738 in the previous two blitzes, and have already filled in over 47,000 so far this year.
On a typical day, 25 crews are on pothole patrol.
During this blitz there will be about 90.
So, crews will start on the DVP and Gardiner beginning tonight at 11 pm.
Potholes on other roads will be repaired during the day, starting early Saturday.
More weekend blitzes are expected through April.
The city has budgeted about $182-million in 2019 for road repairs, including $4-$5-million for potholes.
Each one costs about $25 to repair.
Since 2015, the City has repaired an average of 224,440 annually.
Potholes can be reported online, by calling 311, emailing [email protected]
