North York Community Council has approved a request from the family of Barry and Honey Sherman to level the couple’s mansion.
A representative of the family had said the house at 50 Old Colony Road has been the source of ”bad memories,” that no one will buy it and that they wished to demolish it, clean up the site and put the lot up for sale.
It was for sale when the couple was found there December 15, 2017.
A spokesperson for the company hired to do the demolition, says it’s hoped the work could be done in about a month, weather permitting.
The Sherman’s four children announced a $10-million reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murders of their parents.
