One Air Canada passenger calls it a ”schlimazel”.
She’s one of many trying to sort out travels plans after Ottawa decided to ground all Boeing 7-37 Max 8 and 9s in the wake of the weekend crash in Ethiopia.
A message on the airline’s customer service line says the high volume of calls exceeds the capacity to answer or even put callers on hold and directs callers to Air Canada’s website.
Meanwhile, the French air accident agency will begin working Friday on the cockpit voice and flight data recorders from the crashed plane.
One photo of the data recorder shows it’s slightly damaged and an agency spokesperson says it’s not clear if investigators will be able to retrieve information that could help answer why the plane went down.
