A 90-year-old man’s dead after being struck by a vehicle at a McDonald’s drive-thru in North York on Bathurst and Fisherville Road, south of Steeles, around 9:40 a.m.

Police say he was walking in the parking lot when he was hit by a pickup that was turning right from the drive-thru.
It’s too soon to say if the 47-year-old driver may face charges.
This comes the day after Toronto Police launched a week-long campaign aimed at improving pedestrian safety by targeting distracted, impaired, aggressive driving and speeding.
Last year, 41 pedestrians were killed on city streets and half were 55-years or older.
