Quite the start to Spring Break.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement that has, well, just about everything.
It calls for the risk of freezing rain tomorrow night for the city of Toronto, and risk of freezing rain or snow after midnight Saturday night for parts of Halton, Peel, York and Durham regions.
Areas most likely to see prolonged freezing rain include the Dundalk Highlands and Oak Ridges Moraine, while some sections of central Ontario could see 5 to 10 cm of snow before changing to rain.
Toronto expects to see between 15 to 25 mm of rain before it tapers off late Sunday morning or early afternoon.
In addition, winds gusting to 70 or 80 kmh will develop Sunday for Toronto and may develop for the rest of the GTA and last most of the day.
