History was made over the weekend at Harvard University when women performed along side the men with the University’s Hasty Pudding theatre group.

Hasty Pudding Theatricals President Amira Weeks promised last year that women would join men for the first time for the 2019 season.

Six women and six men were cast in this year’s musical production by the oldest theatrical organization in the United States.

The troupe has been putting on annual shows since 1844 but previously relied on all-male casts to play both male and female roles. However, they’re still mixing things up.

In the current show, some of the men have been cast in female roles and some women have been cast as men.
