OVER 4,300 PARKING TICKETS ISSUED DURING ILLEGAL RUSH-HOUR PARKING BLITZ

Despite all the media attention ahead of their crackdown, Toronto police still issued 4,352 tickets to motorists, who blocked traffic during both rush-hours from January 14 to February 1.

Meanwhile, 753 vehicles were towed during that period.
A ticket for blocking traffic during rush-hour is $150 and a tow is another $250.
Last year, police issued 71,168 parking tickets and towed 14,468 vehicles from Toronto rush-hour routes.
Earlier, police revealed they issued 670 tickets to motorists for distracted driving during a week-long campaign back in mid-January.
