That ”significant development” Toronto police hinted at Monday turned out to be Bruce McArthur pleading guilty Tuesday morning to all eight counts of first-degree murder.
The remains of the men, missing from the city’s gay village, were found in large planters and in a ravine behind Karen Fraser’s Mallory Crescent home in Leaside, where the 67-year-old self-employed landscaper stored his equipment.
”It’s our home.  Talk about an abuse of a friendship.  Yes of course we feel violated.  It’ll take a long time before that backyard is back together”.
Fraser adds to her, McArthur is ”evil”.
The court heard most of the murders were ”sexual in nature” and there was evidence of ”staging”.
The Crown says McArthur also kept some of his victims’ belongings that were found by police during a search of his Thorncliffe Park apartment.
Sentencing will start Monday when more details of the case will be revealed and when victim impact statements will be made before the serial killer is sentenced.
