Toronto police have issued a news release that only says a ”significant development” is expected when alleged serial killer Bruce McArthur returns to court Tuesday morning.
The 67-year-old self-employed landscaper will be appearing just after 9:30 a.m. at the University Avenue courthouse.
McArthur faces eight counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Andrew Kinsman, Selim Esen, Majeed Kayhan, Soroush Mahmudi, Dean Lisowick, Skandaraj Navaratnam, Abdulbasir Faizi and Kirushna Kumar Kanagaratnam.
He has been in custody since his arrest a year ago.
His trial’s scheduled to begin next January and is expected to last three to four months.
