BBC GIVES TENNIS GREAT KING LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Tennis legend Billie Jean King has been given the BBC Sports Personality of the Year’s “lifetime achievement award”.
The 75-year old has long been an advocate for gender equality after winning her 1973 Battle of the Sexes match with Bobby Riggs and King calls that win the most important moment of her life…
More recently, the story behind the King-Riggs tennis match was turned into a move called “Battle of the Sexes” with Emma Stone and Steve Carell who were both nominated for best acting honours at the Critics’ Choice awards.
King went on to win 39 Grand Slam titles in singles and doubles competitions and founded the Women’s Tennis Association…
