The National Film Registry at the U-S Library of Congress has released its list of 25 movies that are now tapped for preservation.  Among them some newer classics like “Jurassic Park” and “Brokeback Mountain” and some vintage films like “My Fair Lady.”

 

Also on the list are “The Shining” and “Broadcast News.”
The library selects movies for preservation because of their cultural, historic and artist importance and now has 750 films in the registry.
