Zoomers of a certain age will be feeling their age after learning that one of the most beloved characters from their childhood has turned 90-years old.
Walt Disney launched Mickey with his first on screen appearance as Steamboat Willie, at New York’s Colony Theatre on November 18th. 1928.
In the eight-minute, black-and-white cartoon, Mickey pilots a steamboat and entertains Minnie Mouse, by making musical instruments out of the menagerie on board.
To mark the occasion, Disney opened a 16-thousand square square-foot art exhibition in Manhattan, called “Mickey: The True Original Exhibition
