An important development on opposition across the country to Ottawa’s carbon tax.
Saskatchewan has to wait until next spring for its top court to hear the government’s challenge of Ottawa’s constitutional right to impose a carbon tax after the federal government asked for more time.

Saskatchewan Environment Minister Dustin Duncan says it’s disappointing and wonders why Ottawa can’t wait for a court ruling before bringing in the tax.
The federal government’s given provinces until January to get onboard with the tax or have it imposed on them.
Ontario supports Saskatchewan’s constitutional challenge of the levy as well as launching its own legal challenge.
