It may not seem like a big deal to have social media and shopping sites you no longer use – lingering on the internet.
But with hacking constantly in the news – including the recent breach at Facebook – you might not want all that data sitting around.
Facebook announced today that hackers accessed data from 29 million accounts – as part of the security breach it revealed two weeks ago.
Computer and security experts agree that cleaning up your digital past isn’t easy – but they say it’s a good idea to set aside some time each year to change your passwords – and close any accounts you don’t need.
