The Eagles’ greatest hits LP has moved past Michael Jackson’s ”Thriller” to become the bestselling album of all-time.
”Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975” is now certified 38x platinum, meaning sales and streams have reached 38-million copies.
”Thriller” is now second at 33x platinum.
The Recording Industry Association of America says the Eagles’ ”Hotel California” is 26x platinum and the third bestselling album of all-time.
The Eagles, formed in the early 1970s, broke up in 1980, came back together 14 years later with Don Henley and Glenn Frey being the only remaining original members.
Frey died in 2016.
The band, which remains on tour, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
