The days of working at the same company for 25 years and a gift of a gold watch are long gone, at least when it comes to the way millennials approach the job market.
Experts say the 20 and 30-somethings have changed the way we think about getting and keeping jobs these days.
Employers once ranked worker loyalty as one of the most of the most important aspects of a hire, but that was before the millennials (those born between the early 1980s and mid-1990s) entered the workforce.
According to recent research, 21 percent of millennials have changed jobs within the last twelve months, which is three times more than any other age group. And the change isn’t just a move for more money. There’s also a growing need and driving force in the millennials on finding jobs that align with their values and working with companies that share the values that they share.
Millennials are expected to make up 75 percent of the workforce by 2020.
