McDonald’s iconic Big Mac turns 50 today.
The double-decker burger was launched in 1968, and thanks to a popular television jingle, most Zoomers remember the ingredients.
“Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions and a sesame seed bun,” was the popular refrain that became ingrained in our collective consciousness.
The milestone for the Big Mac comes as McDonald’s reduces the number of American restaurants.
While McDonald’s is fighting to hold onto customers as the Big Mac turns 50, it’s not messing with the makings of its most famous burger.
In Canada, there are over 1400 McDonald’s locations.
