The Islamic State Terror Group has now claimed responsibility for Sunday’s deadly mass shooting on Toronto’s
Danforth Avenue.

Reuters is reporting on an ISIS statement that claims Faisal Hussain was one of its soldiers and carried out the attack in response to calls to target citizens of countries involved in the coalition fighting the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

We’re also learning that Faisal Hussain had previously been investigated by Toronto Police under the Mental Health Act and that an older brother, named Fahad, who is in a coma from a drug overdose, was known to police.  He was facing drug charges from a bust in Saskatchewan which were transferred to Ontario.  Fahad Hussain was living in a house in Pickering where police later found 33 guns and other prohibited devices and 53 Kilos of the deadly drug carfentanil. The owner of the house was Fahad’s surety when he was bailed on the drug charges.

It is now believed that Faisal Hussain got the gun used in Sunday’s shooting through the brother and police have traced the weapon to its origin in the United States.
