The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation offered a look at one of its coming cannabis stores today – a unique retail model not likely found anywhere else in the world.
N-S-L-C president and C-E-O Bret Mitchell took media on a tour of the cannabis store inside a liquor outlet – on Joseph Howe Drive in Halifax.
The entrance to the 130 square-metre, rectangular-shaped store is located in the back left corner of the liquor store – beneath large letters that read “cannabis.”
The available products will be displayed on T-V screens and are divided into four categories; relax, unwind, centre and enhanced.
There are a number of tablets at countertops – featuring information to help customers choose a product.
Mitchell says “hosts” will greet customers as they come in – to determine if they’re legal age – to show them how to shop.
The products will be sold in sealed bags which must be purchased before leaving the cannabis store boundaries.
