If you are one of the people who’s been subject to what you think is misleading or abusive sales practices by Canada’s telecommunications companies, you’ll be pleased to know the CRTC is going to officially look into this and wants to hear from you.

The Commission will open hearings in October. The broadcast and telecommunications regulator is asking consumers as well as current and former employees to come forward with their personal experiences.

The commission is also inviting written input.

The regulator says it especially wants to hear from consumers who are vulnerable because of age, disability and or language, and will look look closely at incomplete, unclear or misleading information provided to consumers as well as aggressive sales practices like up-selling unsuitable products to ill-informed consumers.
