The Elizabeth Wettlaufer inquiry moves into its second phase today when it resumes in southwestern Ontario after a two week break.
The inquiry is studying how the registered nurse was able to kill eight long-term care patients over a period of several years by injecting them with insulin.
The focus will now switch from long-term care homes, like the one’s that employed Wettlaufer during her killing spree, to the role of the Coroner’s Office, the College of Nurses of Ontario and the provincial Ministry of Long Term Care.
