CANADIAN CHANTEUSE DIES AT AGE 58

Canadian singer-songwriter Carmen Campagne has died of cancer.

She was a Saskatchewan Francophone who moved to Quebec and released several French-language children’s albums before returning to Western Canada to teach.

Campagne sold more than a million CDs and DVDs in Canada and France and won a Juno Award, four Felix Awards and a Parents’ Choice Award in the United States.

She was named to the Order of Canada in 2013.

Carmen Campagne was 58.
