The premier-designate vows that’s the first thing he’ll do when he takes over from Kathleen Wynne – scrap the cap-and-trade system.
Ford, who will be sworn in June 29, campaigned on a promise to do away with it and to cut pump prices by 10-cents-a-litre.
”I promised that we would make life more affordable in Ontario. I promised we would reduce gas prices and respect your hard-earned money,” said the premier-designate.
Ford said details about the ”wind-down” of the program will come later.
