Justin Trudeau is winning support from Canadian political rivals as U.S. President Trump continues to trash-tweet Canada’s Prime Minister.

Conservative leader Andrew Scheer, Alberta politician and former Conservative cabinet minister Jason Kenney, Ontario Premier-Designate Doug Ford, and Green Party Leader Elizabeth May are among those who’ve tweeted their support of Trudeau in his handling of Trump.

Trudeau’s predecessor Stephen Harper also supported the current prime minister.

During an appearance on American television, Harper questioned Trump’s “obsession with trade relations with Canada.”

Following the G7 Summit in Quebec Saturday, Donald Trump unleashed a Twitter tirade against Trudeau calling him “dishonest and weak.”

The tirade was made worse by comments yesterday from two of the president’s closest advisers.

And Trump’s arrival in Singapore for his historic summit tomorrow with North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un hasn’t stopped him from firing off more tweets against Prime Minister Trudeau.

Trump tweeted Monday morning quote, “Fair Trade is now to be called Fool Trade if it is not Reciprocal” and “Justin acts hurt when called out.”

While Trudeau has ignored questions from reporters about Trump’s tirade, Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland says Canada doesn’t conduct its diplomacy through such inappropriate personal attacks.
