Academy Award winner Robert De Niro continued mixing politics with business during a groundbreaking ceremony for a development in Toronto this morning, when he apologized for ”the idiotic behaviour of my president,” for Donald Trump’s comments about the prime minister after the G7 summit.

”It’s a disgrace and I apologize to Justin Trudeau too and the other people at the G7. It’s disgusting.”
Hours earlier at the Tony Awards in New York Sunday evening, the 74-year-old actor dropped a couple of F-bombs as he encouraged the crowd to vote in the upcoming midterm elections.
”First, I wanna say, ‘f— Trump,”’ he said.
”It’s no longer ‘Down with Trump,’ it’s f—Trump.”
Mayor John Tory could not help referring to the outburst.
”Sir, with regard to the comments in the news today, I’ve only two words to say – Thank you,” which prompted laughter and applause among those at the ceremony.
De Niro was in Toronto to promote the ”world’s first” Nobu Restaurant, Hotel and Residences complex, named after celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa.
It’ll be built at 15 Mercer Street near King Street West and Blue Jays Way.
