During a campaign stop in the riding (Etobicoke-North) that Doug Ford’s hoping to capture June 7, Andrea Horwath had an unexpected visitor – local Liberal candidate and longtime MPP Shafiq Qaadri.

Standing behind the NDP as she was speaking to customers of Coffee Club on Albion Road and and holding one of his large lawn signs, Qaadri tried to interrupt, but Horwath would not let him.
”I’m going to finish my press conference and you can have all the time you want to talk to the media.  but please don’t interrupt me.  It’s very rude”.
Qaadri defended his actions, saying he gets interrupted when he’s campaigning.
Liberal Leader Kathleen Wynne called the interruption ”inappropriate”.
Later, Qaadri said he was sorry on Twitter.
”Upon further reflection, my actions today at the ONDP event were rash and inexcusable.  For that I would like to offer my sincerest apology to Andrea Horwath and her team”.
