More than three-quarters (76%) of CARP members rank health care as their top priority for the June election.
That’s the main takeaway from a just released survey by the Zoomers advocacy group.
Results also show they consider pension protection (42%), a balanced budget and debt repayment (38%) as other key issues.
CARP’s National Director of Policy, Law & Research, Laura Tamblyn Watts says fixing health care is crucial for its members.
”From home care to long-term care to hospital stays, CARP members know the importance of ensuring that our health care system is responsive, and there when we need it.”
CARP’s also poised to push the parties on what matters most to its members.
And while an overwhelming 95% plan to vote, about one third (30%) are undecided.
When asked what would most influence their decision, a majority of CARP members (68%) cite a platform that aligns with their values.
