Can Lit Legend Margaret Atwood is to be honoured by L.A.’s Hammer Museum at its Gala in the Garden fundraiser this fall.
The annual Gala is a who’s who of arts and celebrity circles and honours artists and innovators for their creative contributions.
Museum Director Ann Philbin calls Atwood both brilliant and visonary. She says Atwood has received critical acclaim for decades of writing and is an activist who supports feminism, environmentalism and social justice.
Last year’s Gala in the Garden raised $2.4-million for Hammer exhibitions and public programs.
The event takes place October 14th.
