Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale is refusing to comment on a Canadian-born, self-described terror recruit – reportedly living in Toronto.

While appearing on a recent New York Times podcast – a Canadian who calls himself Abu Huzaifa al-Kanadi described executing people – while working with Islamic State militants in Syria.

Conservative House Leader Candice Bergen called on the government to track down the man and arrest him.

But Goodale would only say security and police agencies are doing everything necessary – to keep Canadians safe.
