Canada is well represented at this year’s Cannes International Film Festival which gets underway today.
A short film by called “Casey” by St. John’s, Newfoundland – based producer Cody Westman being screened as part of Telefilm Canada’s Not Short on Talent Short Film Corner.
The movie follows a day in the life of a young girl living with an overprotective mother and is one of 22 films selected to be shown at Canada’s “short film” pavilion. It was written, filmed, and produced in St. John’s.
In addition to the movie, Canadian film director Denis Villeneuve is sitting on the Cannes Festival’s jury.
