Maple Leafs have announced Lou Lamoriello will not be general manger next season.
The 74-year-old Hall-of-Famer is not going anywhere though as he will remain in an advisory capacity.

President Brendan Shanahan says when Lamoriello was hired three years ago, the plan was for Lamoriello to be general manager for three years and then transition to senior adviser for four years.
”I’ve never been in a situation like that before,” said Lamoriello.
”It’s like in life, you learn as you go, you make the best of it.”
While there are no official candidates, it’s long been believed that assistant GM Kyle Dubas would eventually succeed Lamoriello.
Another potential successor from within the organization is head scout Mark Hunter.
