Move over carrots, dark chocolate has been associated with better vision.
Research has already found that the semi sweet treat may be good for you, but now eye doctors say it’s also associated with better vision.
It is unclear why dark chocolate affects vision, however the authors think it has to do with the blood vessels in the eye.
It is well-established in scientific literature that the main ingredient in dark chocolate, positively affects blood pressure and blood vessel function.
This new research, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, suggests that dark chocolate allows for more blood flow to back of the eye, therefore improving vision.
