The Toronto Mendelssohn Choir’s Board of Directors has received and accepted the resignation of artistic director Noel Edison.

In February the Mendelssohn Board, along with the Board of the Elora Festival and The Elora Singers launched an investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against the artistic director.

Last week the 59-year old was was let go by the Elora Singers and Festival.

The Mendelssohn Choir has begun a review of its anti-harassment policies that will include updating those policies; providing more education and training to staff and singers on these policies and on the organization’s expectations about mutual respect.

The Toronto Mendelssohn Choir concludes its 2017/18 season with two programs with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra:
“Candide” is scheduled for Thursday and Saturday of this week…

“Beethoven’s 9th Symphony” will be played June 28th and 29th.
