He chilled us with the pulse-pounding shark attack music in “Jaws” and thrilled us with the heroic anthem for “Star Wars.”  Now, 86-year old musical legend John Williams is to be honoured by the performing rights organization Broadcast Music International.

 

The ‘John Williams Award’ will be presented to the celebrated musician at the 34th annual B-M-I Film, T-V and Visual Media Awards, May 9th in Beverly Hills.

Williams has been nominated for 51 Academy Awards and has won 5 over the course of his career.
