Sexual misconduct allegations led to changes at the top of the Ontario Tory party and now another Conservative MPP is out of caucus and barred from running for re-election.

In a statement, the party says Kitchener-Conestoga MPP Michael Harris has been removed after it received evidence, that included a written complaint from a former intern dating back to 2013.
There was also a series of text message of a ”sexual nature” between the young woman and Harris, that included a request for her to send him photos, an invitation for her to meet with him late at night and a reference to something that might have happened in his Queen’s Park office.
PC Caucus Chair Lisa Thompson says when Harris was asked about it, he denied that a ”formal” complaint was ever made.
Harris announced last weekend he would not seek re-election, citing health reasons.

His wife Sarah says she will be seeking the party nomination in the riding.
