Admitting that construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT has proved challenging for business the last five years, the city of Toronto’s offering a parking discount and other supports.
(David Cooper/ Toronto Star)
The Toronto Parking Authority will offer a $6 discount to anyone who uses the Green P app to pay for parking within 200-metres of Eglinton between Jane and Don Mills.
To access the discount, which is equivalent to about two-hours free parking at most locations in the area, users will have to initiate a parking session through the TPA app, click on discount, then enter the word ”Crosstown.”
The promotion’s in effect as long as construction continues.
The city will also launch a clean up blitz along the 19-kilometre stretch of Eglinton.
Once completed in 2021, the Eglinton LRT will have 15 stations running from Mount Dennis to Kennedy.
