While the Royal Canadian Air Force has completed its investigation into a flight last year that resulted in former Maple Leafs Dave ”Tiger” Williams being charged with sexual assault and assault aboard a VIP flight, that’s not the end of it.

Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Jonathan Vance has requested a new, independent probe of what happened aboard the morale-building flight for Canadian troops overseas.

For years, the military’s organized the so-called Team Canada trips to take hockey stars, Olympians and musicians to visit Canadians serving abroad.
But one made headlines last December when Williams was charged for allegedly inappropriately touching a steward.
His lawyer has said Williams denies the accusation and is confident he’ll be vindicated.
Vance temporarily suspended Team Canada flights when he received the results of the air force review two months ago and ordered a ban on alcohol on military planes when they do resume.
