Anyone in Ontario 65 and older would have their prescription medications covered by the Wynne Liberals – if they win the election in June.
Should they be re-elected, then starting August 1, 2019, older Zoomers would no longer have to pay a deductible or co-payment and could simply present their prescription and OHIP number at any pharmacy and get their medication for free.

Speaking at the Leaside Curling Club, Premier Kathleen Wynne, announced over 4,400 prescription drugs would be covered.
”It’s going to be one less thing that people have to worry about,” said Wynne.
In fact, she says the move would save those 65 and older, an average of $240-a-year.
The expansion of OHIP+ would cost $575-million-a-year when it’s fully operational in 2020-21.
