AWARD WINNING U.S. POET AND EDUCATOR DEAD AT 61

Poet and educator Lucie Brock-Broido has died at the age of 61.
Cause of death was not provided, but her publisher has confirmed she died Tuesday at her home in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Brock-Broido was the author of four poetry books, most recently “Stay, Illusion,” which won the U.S. National Book Award for poetry in 2013.  Her other honours included the National Book Critics Circle prize and the Harvard Phi Beta Kappa Teaching Award.
She was directer of the creative writing program at Harvard University and the poetry division of Columbia University’s writing program.
