Better marks for Ontario on the justice front.
The province has improved its grade in an annual report card – on the justice system across Canada.

The Macdonald-Laurier Institute tracks various justice systems to rank the provinces and territories – in the areas of fairness, efficiency, cost, public safety and access to justice.

The 2017 analysis says Ontario is the most improved jurisdiction – rising to fourth place from seventh – and earning a “B” rating.

The report from the Ottawa-based think tank also ranks Ontario among the top two provinces – in terms of public confidence in the justice system and the courts.
